Global Girl Leading Conference 2023

On 11th October 2023, Mulberry School for Girls hosted the first ever hybrid Global Girl Leading conference.

Starting at 6am UK time, students hosted a livestream for partner schools in Australia and SE Asia, featuring:

  • Vicki Treadell – British High Commissioner to Australia
  • Cathy Hunt – Executive Producer, WOW Australia
  • Her Excellency Josefa González-Blanco Ortiz-Mena – Mexican Ambassador to the UK
  • Edwina Dunn – Founder, The Female Lead
  • A conversation on women’s sport between Star of the Sea College, Melbourne and Mulberry School for Girls
  • A student news review

The ‘Breakfast session’ was followed by a conference for over 200 students from the UK, with more joining online. Students had the chance to watch two panels, ask questions to speakers and engage in a variety of activities, including dialogue mats focused on the representation of women in media. These can be accessed in the Event Resources section of the website.
