Global Girl Leading Conference 2023
On 11th October 2023, Mulberry School for Girls hosted the first ever hybrid Global Girl Leading conference.
Starting at 6am UK time, students hosted a livestream for partner schools in Australia and SE Asia, featuring:
- Vicki Treadell – British High Commissioner to Australia
- Cathy Hunt – Executive Producer, WOW Australia
- Her Excellency Josefa González-Blanco Ortiz-Mena – Mexican Ambassador to the UK
- Edwina Dunn – Founder, The Female Lead
- A conversation on women’s sport between Star of the Sea College, Melbourne and Mulberry School for Girls
- A student news review
The ‘Breakfast session’ was followed by a conference for over 200 students from the UK, with more joining online. Students had the chance to watch two panels, ask questions to speakers and engage in a variety of activities, including dialogue mats focused on the representation of women in media.
